Casa and "Spamalot" Concierge Event
On Tuesday, July 7, the downtown Mexican cuisine restaurant Casa Cocina y Cantina
welcomed in concierges for a pre-performance reception that was truly a fiesta of
food and drinks. About 150 hotel and corporate professionals turned out and sampled
menu items such as ahi tuna ceviche on crispy spanish rice, quesadillas con jitomate,
petite tacos de carne, tacos al pastor, flautas de pollo, huarachito verano, mini
churros and more. Signature cocktails included the Jalapeno Margarita and the Hibiscus
Mar"teen"ni. Casa raffled off a dining certificate for two that went to the Chateau Marmont's
Steven Amador. Sponsoring partners included Will Gonzales of VIP Tickets who raffled of a pair
of tickets to see "Coldplay" at the Home Depot Center and Christina Baglin and Don Shepherd of
LAFC Chelsea Soccer who raffled off tickets to the upcoming Chelsea v Inter Milan match at the
Rose Bowl. The Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Rachel Mullennix donated an art book from its
current exhibition "Pompeii and the Roman Villa" and two VIP passes that went to winner Jacqui
Cikra of the Standard Downtown. Before guests walked over to the Ahmanson Theatre for opening
night's performance of "Spamalot" Center Theatre Group's Marketing Coordinator Michael Bulger
gave guests a quick overview on the outrageous new musical comedy.
