Caravan to Calypso
On Thursday, June 24, WHERE Magazine from Los Angeles and Orange County
hosted concierges from both markets to spend a day in Long Beach. Concierges
began their day of exploration on the majestic Queen Mary where they were
greeted with champagne and mini sliders. Brian Panozzo, Director of Operations,
Christine Company, Attractions Sales Manager and Mac Alshaarawi, Director of
Food & Beverage welcomed guests before Captain Will Kayne gave concierges
a grand historical tour. The caravan continued on to the Aquarium of the Pacific
where Senior Sales Rep Sarah Castello welcomed guests on a journey of discovery
showcasing two new exhibits: BP Sea Otter Habitat and the Molina Animal Care Center.
Guests were also treated to gift bags that include passes to return to the Aquarium.
The final destination was the closing party at Parkers' Lighthouse at Shoreline Village
where Michael Cole, General Manager and Jason Stein, Executive Chef hosted a
Caribbean-themed party. Guests were treated to Parkers' rum punch cocktails, and a
buffet of savory dishes including Kalua pulled pork sliders, mango barbequed short
ribs, coconut shrimp with spicy pineapple orange marmalade, rum glazed kobe beef meatballs
and more. Dessert included coffee and specially made mini pineapple upside down cakes.
Also on hand to support the concierge community was Anne Block from Take My Mother Please
who raffled off a personal tour for three. Parkers' General Manager Michael Cole gave
each guest a parting gift bag that included Parkers' gift items and a $25 gift certificate.
