Katsuya Glendale
On Thursday, March 26, Katsuya Glendale welcomed in concierges for an evening
of cocktails and menu tastings in the upstairs Dragon Lounge. Concierges were
treated to passed trays of Chef Uechi's crispy rice spicy tuna and veggie tempura
while sipping on white grapefruit cosmopolitans and wine pourings. After a quick
presentation by SBE's Senior Vice President of Restaurants, Clint Clauson, guests
were seated for a family-style dining experience. Katsuya specialties included platters
of assorted sushi such as shrimp tempura, baked crab rolls, spicy tuna and veggie rolls.
Plates of calamari with cilantro aioli, pork spare ribs and chicken teriyaki skewers were
also served. To sweeten the palate -- mochi ice cream completed the meal. A DJ played a
live set throughout promoting Katsuya Glendale's Friday and Saturday music sets. A few
concierges even got up and danced until the DJ finished his set. Concierges also got to
take home a gift bag compliments of SBE and Katsuya.
