LACA at Hama Sushi
The Los Angeles Concierge Association held its 2011 Board nominations
meeting at Hama Sushi in Venice Beach on Tuesday, October 26. Members
dined on edamame, fried shrimp poppers, seaweed salad and an assortment
of sushi and sashimi. The highlight of the evening happened when
current LACA President Nestor Velasco of the Sofitel LA got an urgent
phone call that his girlfriend was going into labor—so he hightailed
it out. Velasco became a father for the second time at 9:31 p.m. on
Tuesday to another healthy son. The official 2011 Board election
meeting will take place at the end of November.
