Medea at UCLA
UCLA Live kicked off it's 8th International Theatre Festival with a VIP
night for Los Angeles concierges. Nearly 100 guests were welcomed by Steve
Sann's of The W Hotel's Backyard restaurant with menu tastings and cocktails
by Executive Chef Monique King. Concierges nibbled on salmon skewers, tomato
soup shooters, crab cakes, spoons of duck confit and sweet treats included
cheesecake pops and chocolate chip cookies. UCLA Live Executive and Artistic
Director, David Sefton, welcomed concierges and gave a quick synopsis on the
world premiere of UCLA Live's produced "Medea" starring Academy Award and Tony
Award nominee Annette Bening in the title role. Several door prizes compliments
of The W Hotel's Backyard restaurant, The W Hotel's Bliss Spa, and UCLA Live were
raffled off before guests boarded Dine and Ride shuttles to UCLA's Freud Playhouse.
