George's Bar
On Tuesday, October 7, Georges at the Cove in La Jolla welcomed WHERE Magazine
and San Diego concierges for a one-of-a-kind dining experience. The evening began
on the Ocean Terrace for signature tapas, gourmet cheeses, fine wine and margaritas.
Following sunset, concierges were led to George's Bar for calamari, chicken satays and
drinks. The dining highlight was in California Modern where each concierge was treated
to local swordfish with forbidden black rice and panchetta wrapped Niman Ranch pork
tenderloin, both prepared by Executive Chef Trey Foshee. Owner George Hauer joined the
party for the evening adding a personal touch to the event. Charriol hosted the closing
reception and served specially created desserts by Chef Foshee. The raffle brought the
evening to a close, some prizes included dinner for two at Georges, $200 gift certificate
to Nicole Miller, gift bag from MCASD and the grand finale was a Charriol bangle won by Rosalie
Capener from the Estancia La Jolla.
