SPANISH VILLAGE ART CENTER Ongoing. This year marks the 75th anniversary for the historic Spanish Village buildings. Built for the 1935 Exposition, this cluster of Spanish-style cottages in San Diego's historic Balboa Park houses the ongoing works of over 250 local artists and artisans of all descriptions. Watch sculptures, painters, craftsmen, jewelers and photographers create their art on a rotating basis. All artwork is for sale upon completion. Best of all, admission to the facility is free. SPRECKELS ORGAN PAVILIONSPRECKELS ORGAN PAVILION Ongoing. One of the world's largest outdoor pipe organs, the Spreckels Organ was donated to the City of San Diego in 1914 for the Panama-California Exposition. This unique organ contains 4,530 pipes ranging in length from the size of a pencil to 32 feet and is housed in an ornate vaulted structure with highly embellished gables.
